Join us in a thought-provoking exploration of 10 to 25: The New Science of Motivating Young People by David Yeager.

Description

Join us in a thought-provoking exploration of 10 to 25: The New Science of Motivating Young People by David Yeager. Grounded in neuroscience and psychological research, this book illuminates the powerful developmental shifts happening in the adolescent brain and how educators can tap into those shifts to foster deeper motivation, purpose, and persistence in their students.

As we read and reflect together, we’ll consider how identity, autonomy, and purpose shape the way teens engage with learning. We’ll explore practical strategies informed by neuroscience that align with the way adolescents develop, think, and grow. Along the way, we’ll rethink common challenges in adolescence through a strengths-based, developmental lens and collaborate to translate research into real-world classroom practice.

Whether you're new to the science of teaching and learning or looking to deepen your practice, this study offers a rich opportunity to connect research to the daily work of teaching and to reimagine what’s possible when we teach with the adolescent brain in mind.

Facilitated by Neural Education Champions, Audrey Gallagher and Jen Flo.

We will meet on the following Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 pm PST:

Sept 23, Oct 7, Oct 21, Nov 4, Nov 18
